Frequently asked questions
How does Faresay work?
You complete a short questionnaire, we match you with verified therapists, you pick one and book a session. Sessions take place via encrypted video on our platform.
Are therapists qualified?
Yes. Every therapist holds current registration with BACP, UKCP, BPS, or NCS — professional bodies that require minimum training standards, supervision, and adherence to ethical codes. We verify registration numbers before approving any profile.
How much does it cost?
Sessions are priced by each therapist — typically £40–55 per 50-minute session. There's no subscription, no weekly commitment, and no cancellation fee if you cancel more than 24 hours in advance.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your session. Late cancellations (within 24 hours) are not refunded. Refunds appear within 5–10 business days.
How do video sessions work?
Sessions run in your browser — no app download needed. The room opens 10 minutes before your scheduled time. You'll need a camera and microphone.
Is Faresay a crisis service?
No. Faresay is for ongoing therapeutic support, not crisis intervention. If you're in immediate danger, call 999. For urgent mental health support, contact Samaritans (116 123, free, 24/7) or text SHOUT to 85258.
I'm a therapist — how do I join?
Create an account, select "I am a therapist", and complete our onboarding. You'll need a current registration number. We verify credentials within 2 business days. You keep 85% of every session fee.
When do therapists get paid?
Payouts are processed via Stripe Connect and arrive in your bank account 2 business days after each completed session.
