Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026 · Version 1.0
1. The service
Faresay is a platform that connects clients seeking mental health support with self-employed, independently registered therapists. Faresay is not a therapy provider. Therapeutic relationships are between you and your therapist. Faresay facilitates booking and payment only.
2. Not a crisis service
Faresay is not a crisis or emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, call 999. For urgent mental health support, call Samaritans on 116 123 (free, 24/7), text SHOUT to 85258, or call NHS 111 and select option 2.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older to use Faresay. By creating an account, you confirm you are of legal age.
4. Payments and fees
Session fees are set by each therapist and displayed before booking. Faresay collects a 15% platform fee; therapists receive 85%. Payments are processed by Stripe.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Clients may cancel a session free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Cancellations within 24 hours are not refunded. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days.
6. Therapist obligations
Therapists on Faresay are independent contractors, not Faresay employees. They are required to hold current professional registration, maintain professional indemnity insurance, and comply with their registration body's ethical code.
7. Limitation of liability
Faresay's liability is limited to the fees paid for the session giving rise to a claim. We are not liable for the quality of therapeutic services provided by independent therapists, or for any indirect or consequential losses.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
